Toxicology Division

This Division undertakes the forensic examination/analysis of Toxic Substances

1. Detection/qualitative analysis of poison from:

* Visceral material (Stomach & intestine with contents, Liver, Spleen, Kidney, Lungs, Brain, Heart)

* Blood

* Urine

* Stomach aspirate

2. Detection of Methyl Alcohol and Ethyl Alcohol from:

* Blood

* Urine in drunkenness cases

3. Detection of Metallic Poison from:

* Nail

* Hair

* Bone
